Your first Chinese words
Chinese grammar, explained simply
Verbs never change. No tenses, no endings — time comes from context and particles.
Measure words. A number or "this/that" needs a measure word before the noun.
是 vs. adjectives with 很. Use 是 to link two nouns, but not before an adjective.
